Frequently asked questions

What do I get?

I offer a universal package for pets of all shapes and sizes. This package includes:

  • An on-location shoot anywhere within the Sydney metropolitan area.

  • Up to two hours of shooting time with one pet.

  • 30+ high-resolution, digital images of your pet, carefully selected and edited.

  • A handful of photos of you and your pet together, if requested.

How much do you charge?

I charge a flat rate of $350 for portrait sessions with one pet, which also includes digital copies of the best photos from the day. Up to two additional pets from the same family can also be included for a charge of $50 per pet. There are no additional charges to receive your photos. Please note that 10% of my fee is donated to RSPCA NSW to help animals in need.

When will I get my photos?

Generally, you will receive your photos 3-4 weeks after your session. Why does it take that long? As I work full-time at RSPCA NSW, my spare time is limited. By allowing a few weeks for post-production, I can guarantee the photos you receive are of the highest quality.

Do you offer Print Services?

Not at this stage, but I plan to offer print packages in the near future, including standard-size prints for frames, as well as albums and wall art. Check back with me in the future and I will be more than happy to assist.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions take 1-2 hours, but I recommend allowing an extra 30 minutes to be safe. Ultimately, the session duration will be determined by your pet. Their welfare is my top priority, so once they've had enough, that's my cue to wrap things up! Rest assured that most of the best photos are likely to come from the first hour of shooting anyway.

What days of the week are you available?

Due to my work schedule, I can only take bookings on weekends. Ideally, I like to arrange sessions in the three-hour window before sunset, which means times vary throughout the year. Please note that sessions will need to be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather.

Can you photograph any animal?

Yes I can! As long as they are relatively comfortable and confident around strangers. Cats are usually the trickiest subjects, so please bear this in mind when booking. I may need to confirm with you that your cat will be okay with me visiting your home.

How many animals can be included in a session?

Up to three pets from the same family can be included in a session. Please see above for more information about charges related to including additional pets.

Where do you take photos?

I'll take photos just about anywhere in Sydney! When booking, please let me know your preferred location. For dogs, this may be their favourite local park or beach. If you don't have any preference, I'll suggest some options in your local area. At-home photo shoots are typically best for other types of pets.

Can I be in the photos?

Of course! While I make it my top priority to capture some amazing photos of your pet, it's always great to get a few shots of the whole family together.

What should I bring to the photo shoot?

If you would like to, please feel free to bring your pet's favourite toys and treats. I always come equipped with my own supplies, but using your pet's favourite toys and treats will often result in better photos.

Will you work in any weather?

My speciality is natural light photography, so I can't work in all conditions. I don't need perfect weather to capture some great shots, but severe conditions really do limit what I can do (both indoors and outdoors). In the event of adverse weather or extreme heat, I will contact you to reschedule your session for another day that suits you.

Do you take bookings outside of Sydney?

Currently, I only take bookings in Sydney. I'm also happy to travel within an hour of the city's boundary, but please note that a travel free of up to $80 may apply.
